Implementing Eco-Friendly Processes to Reduce Environmental Impact
e-Volve adheres to the following environmental sustainability guidelines both within our business and throughout the wider supply chain we transact with.
Office Amenities Policy
Paper
e-Volve actively discouragees paper consumption. We use online systems and deliver documents and reports in PDF format.
e-Volve uses iPads and low energy notebook computers for one on one presentations.
When we must print, we use duplex printers. We also recycle all toner cartridges and wasted paper.
e-Volve requests clients and suppliers to scan and email communications in preference to faxing or posting. We receive faxes electronically.
Electricity
All office equipment is turned off when not in use.
All office lighting (with the exception of mandatory fire safety exit lights) are switched off when not in use.
Our datacenter operates on “off peak” electricity.
Waste
Waste is kept to a minimum. We select products and materials that can be recycled.
We go out of our way to recycle materials that cannot go into the recycle bin, such as toner cartridges, batteries, end of life mobile phones, notebook computers etc.
Fairtrade
We select products based on social benefits, e.g. Fairtrade coffee.
Transport and travel
For local journeys we encourage our staff to use public transport.
We facilitate work from home when appropriate to further reduce our transport footprint.
We actively discourage business flights and use teleconferencing for meetings. If we need to travel by air, we offset each flight with certified carbon credits.
Where flights are undertaken, we choose economy travel for its smaller impact on the environment.
Offsetting with carbon credits
e-Volves business carbon footprint is offset annually with certified carbon credits.
